Distribution in Britain & Ireland
Present on all British and Irish coats although rare off south-east Britain.
Global distribution
This species is distributed from Iceland and northern Norway to the Iberian Peninsula, into the Mediterranean and to the Atlantic coast of Morocco, the Canary Is. And the Azores (Tebble, 1976).
